Ahoy matey! Grab your closest friends and get ready for the Octopus Dash. A new division has been created where participants will run the Chicago Beachathon connected to 8 of their crazy friends.
Below are the official Octopus Dash rules and regulations.
- Each Octopus Dash team must consist of at least 8 connected team members. There is no limit to the number of team members.
- Each Octopus Dash team member must register separately.
- All team members must start connected and finish connected. What happens in between the starting line and finish line is up to your team.
- Participants who enter the Octopus Dash must come up with a kick-ass team name.
- It is up to the team members to decide how they stay connected (creativity is highly encouraged).
- An Octopus Dash costume does not have to be an octopus (e.g. 8+ connected team members inside a makeshift tropical boat, 8+ connected team members dressed as David Hasslehoff, 8+ connected team members dressed as bananas while being chased by a pink gorilla).
- Each team member must be registered and wear their assigned bib number.
- The best Octopus Dash costume will receive the oh-so-sought after Octopus Dash
“Award for Awesomeness.”
